BETWEEN ASUU AND THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT

The continuation of eye lingering between the federal government and ASUU is very annoying, because governments on their own part are not showing any concern about the issue. It’s quite unfortunate that education sector is not given all the necessary attention and this is due to the fact that the children of UNE (United Nigerian Elite) are schooling abroad, and only the less privilege ones are suffering from this strike. Imagine our counterparts that go to Dubai, Malaysia, India and so on are acquiring a degree in just 3 to 4 years while here in Nigeria you spent almost 6 to 7 years to acquire the same degree due to this kind of strike and so on. It’s high time for this government to look into the needs of these people so as to bring an end to this long term strike in order to allow students continue with their studies. Also they (government) should know that any country that lacks qualitative and standard education, that country will never develop in any way….Allah ya sauke!

NIGERIA @ 49: WHO'S TO BLAME?

I wonder why many nigerians are celebrating the 49th years of independence when things in the country are getting worst day by day. foristance, our universities are on strike for the fast 3 months and govermnent are not showing any concern about it, imagine our president going to saudia to commission a university as a special guest while his own universities are closed over a minor issue wchich can be solved within a week.it is better we celebrate 49 years of power failure, insecurity (becouse kidnapping is becoming rampant in this country), fallen standard of education, unemployment, collapse of industries, poor medical facilities,...to mention but few. no hope for the masses, everything is getting out of hand. but do we fold our hands and keep watching for things to continue like this? what devidend did nigerians derived from the so called 49 years of independence? up to now we can not differentiate between yestarday and tomorrow, for God sake is there any cause for celebration? our leaders have totally failed in all round. it's high time now for our leaders to wake from their deep slumber before it becomes too late for them to cry
